ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jessica has been exploring and playing with her inner artist since first grade at a Waldorf school when she picked up colored pencils and began drawing. She was fascinated by the world of color.

Over the years she continued to devote some time to her artistic expression using pen and ink, gouache, oil, watercolor and landing with acrylic. In retirement she has taken classes at Danforth Art, Framingham and New Art Center, Newton where she focused on color, value, composition, and light.

She finds inspiration in nature and anything French, having studied there and traveled there over the years.

She trusts her instincts to call her to the easel. The world of art is full of wonder and experiments for her. It is her safe haven for expression and she hopes it inspires reflection in the viewers.

She shows her work with Wellesley Society of Artists.
